I?ve got a new macbook pro with windows 7 running on boot camp. It would seem that while in windows my macbook doesn?t have adequate fan Management and gets very hot very easily with no fan response. Meanwhile in OSX it runs very cool and responds to heat fluctuations. What?s a good fan management solution for this?
The problem is primarily due to the fact that Windows 7 uses more resources than Mac OS, while lacking some of Mac OS?s energy saving concepts.
The good news is that there are 3rd party applications you can download to address the problem. One of these, and probably the best, is Input Remapper, which gives you convenient access to the fan control (plus a lot of other stuff that you may or may not care about.) The bad news (sort of) is that it has not been updated in a while. The good news is that it is free. Check it out here:
